Dee C’rell is a dual national of English and Irish heritage, who works as a composer, producer, musician, artist, dj and photographer. He was born in Hackney and grew up in Shoreditch, Central London.

He began his recording career at an early age as a prolific improvising pianist, musician and producer whilst part of the creative pioneers who helped to establish British electronic dance music in the 1990’s, working alongside both English and American artists. Respected by his peers for his music virtuosity, he then studied at two Universities in the U.K. as a pianist and composer and became an academic of music, writing the first paper on the terminology that he coined as, contemporary electro-acoustic jazz.

He is a member of the British Music Collection and the British Sound Library. He currently works within multiple contemporary idioms of music, T.V. and film. His compositions and sound installations are found worldwide in a variety of recorded formats.
